CSI:Miami realization!!
so i realized today
while watching CSI:Miami,
that Horatio Caine's wife, Marisol Delko Caine, died in 2006. The screen says "six years earlier" then shows the tombstone.
So the setting is 2012. Miami is futuristic.
And there's a newspaper in the same episode saying 2012.
that explains all the crazy equipment they have.
