I have just discovered that I didn’t have ‘user registration’ switched on. Registering means it’s easier to comment without having to fill in name and email each time. You can also stay logged in so that you don’t need to keep logging in. The option is on the right under the META menu.
Of course, those bods on Lj can just comment there if they wish! :)
