[Dave's mirror, while worried about his real and the friends he has on the other side, is nervous for something else today. He's trying to keep himself from fidgeting too much as he waits for John's mirror to get here

Okay, basically, I have no interest in havin' sex and neither do I feel any sort of sexual attraction to anybody. It's somethin' that I'll always be like.
[Dave's trying really hard to not fidget and it feels like his stomach is twisting into a thousand knots.]
[For his part, John was actually making a huge effort not to scream or something. He'd been eating about half as much cake and his emotions were, well, significantly more difficult to deal with.
And right now, a lot of sad ones were hitting him.]
YOU COULD JUST SAY YOU DON'T LIKE ME. LYING IS MEAN.
[Nervous feelings gone. Now he's confused. And then it moves over into him shaking his head.]
No, no, it's not like that at all! I still l-love you! [Ignore that stammer, he's still going strong! Although, he didn't really notice that he said love instead of like.] I just...don't feel lust.
[John took another moment to struggle with his emotions and urges. Part of him was determined to go bury his face in devil's food, and part of him just wanted to cry and panic because this was so out of his realm of expertise. He wasn't the kind of person people even liked. Whatever that made him feel, at least it was familiar.
What was he supposed to do with this information? Not to mention, well...]
Does being asexual mean you don't like kissing? BECAUSE I KIND OF REALLY WANT TO KISS YOU RIGHT NOW, LIKE. ON THE MOUTH AND EVERYTHING.
HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII DAVE.

Hey, John.
[He pauses, and decides to just...say it.]
I actually wanted to talk to you about somethin'.
[Dave takes a deep breath.]
I'm...asexual. Which means, I don't have sexual feelings or desires.

[John stared at Dave. Then at the wall. Then at the floor.
Then he started hyperventilating because this was a lot of information and he was feeling all of it.]
Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh.

John?

Don't...don't know what...Dave...
[He couldn't remember if his Dad had ever said that to him.]
Are you sure?
Reply
Yeah. I love you, John. I'm as sure of that as a canary's sure it can fuckin' sing.

No, it doesn't mean that at all. Just no sex. Everythin' else is still fair game.
