Somewhere in the Mirror World, in a spot without a counterpart on Real Side, is the Queen's quarters ( Read more... )

Santana thinks the mirror world is pretty crappy, and she doesn't know if she wants to hang around. But this is for the greater good, after all. And duh, of course she doesn't mean the rebellion. No, the greater good is to get back her damn bracelet.

Which would be why she is following Kurt's ridiculous mirror-person around, arms crossed and heaving dramatic sighs the linger they walk.

"I'm starting to think this is a trick, Magnum."

"Shut up; we're almost there," he snaps at her. Secretly though, he thinks Magnum is a pretty badass sounding nickname.

They really are almost there though. Kurt's mirror stops in front a door that's been left slightly ajar. That's how it was the last time he walked by as well, and he assumes it's from all the people who have been coming to reclaim belongings or raid her room for treasures.

Hopefully no one took her bracelet already, or he's going to be screwed.

He opens the door and enters, pausing to hold it for Santana, like a gentleman. Or maybe just because he thinks she might bitch a little otherwise.

"It's somewhere in here," he says, glancing around. He's never actually been in her room before. "It's her private quarters, and no one's s'pposed come in, so she hides stuff here."

Don't worry, Mellenkurt; the nickname was intended in the most sincere...ly patronizing way possible.

Anyway. Santana glides on through the doorway, looking around and approving of the color scheme. Then it's time to start searching.

"So were is The Royal Bitch, anyway?" Clearly, she's not too concerned with the Queen just showing up any second, with the way she's thrown herself onto the bed. What? The bracelet could totally be under the sheets.

"I dunno," he admits. "You'd figure she'd be here or have it locked up or somethin', but it's like she totally abandoned the place."

Honestly, it's pretty weird to him. For someone who's all about unmaking people and shouting to have their heads cut off, you'd think she'd be putting up more of a fight. It's...not really a comfort though. It just leaves him thinking she could be anywhere.

Even so, he's not exactly in a hurry. He wouldn't put it past Santana to grab her bracelet and run back through the Rabbit Hole, so he doesn't mind if the search takes a little while. He does side-eye her a little for flopping on the bed, but decides to just go over and peek at what's on the shelves instead.

Santana hums a little as she sprawls across the mattress, almost like she's making a snow-angel. Sadly, her limbs don't hit anything jewelry-shaped, not that she really expected it. But the bed's so comfortable...

"Whatever. Maybe you guys will luck out and it'll be the easiest rebellion ever because she's ducked out of dodge already." And now she's actually curling up on her side, snuggling into a pillow. Damn, this is soft. He can do all the searching, right?

"That doesn't sound a lot like her though," he points out. "She threatens to unmake us for treason all the time, so it'd be freakin' dumb t'just take off like that."

Well, it's not on this spot of this shelf. He turns around and looks at Santana curled up on the bed and pouts a little, looking sort of annoyed. He doesn't want to do all of the work, after all.

"Are y'seriously just gonna nap there?"

Apparently he's secretly as good at judging people as the real Kurt is. Who knew?

"Fine, be pessimistic." Not that she really cares either way.

She is, however, tempted to tell him that that is absolutely her new plan, and he can just deal with it since he wanted her there so badly. But...well, maybe she'll find something else worth taking, too.

So she sits back up, rolling her eyes, and slides off the bed.

"Happy now?" She starts opening drawers. "Once we find it, if all hell isn't breaking loose, we take a turn on the bed."

And she really doesn't care how that sounds.

His eyes go really wide at that suggestion. Unlike the real Kurt though, he definitely doesn't act like a young Victorian woman about things like that though, so he just nods.

"Yeah, sure," he says, as smoothly as possible. ...Which isn't smooth at all. "I'm good with that. Definitely. Yep."

Before she can prod him about what he's thinking about, he moves to the other end of the shelves, because starting on the opposite side is obviously the best way to go about this. Yep. No other reason than that. Just gonna look up on these shelves now. Her bracelet's totally probably maybe up there. Or not.

After that stealthy and totally subtle reaction, Santana just rolls her eyes. She is also not using much effort in being careful when rooting through the Queen's things. Because seriously, what's the point?

She is thorough, though. Obviously. But soon enough she's in front of the...eyes.

"Ew. The real you would say that totally ruins the decor."

"Yeah, well, he ain't here."

He can't help snapping - he really can't stand the real Kurt, and how he's constantly ruining his life by being the gayest gay that ever gayed. Among other things.

"'Sides, I dunno. It kinda fits," he says, tilting his head a little. "I mean, she likes takin' people apart, so it kinda makes sense she'd have spare parts lyin' 'round..."

Then he realizes he just seriously contemplated the Queen's decor and abruptly fixes his posture. He glares at the eyes like it's their fault he had any resemblance to the other Kurt for even a half a second.

"...They're creepy as fuck though."

Santana really doesn't care about his identity crisis...es, so she just pats him on the shoulder sarcastically and moves on in her search.

"Okay, if it's not here, I may have to rip out your eyes. Just letting you know." Because seriously, where the hell is her bracelet?! That bitch better not be wearing it wherever she is.

If it was anyone else, he'd laugh and say he'd love to see them try. ...But this is the other Santana, so she probably would want to try. So he just rolls his eyes.

"It's prolly here. We've only been lookin' like five minutes and the Queen's got a lot've shit here."

Stupid real Kurt hasn't hit his growth spurt yet, so his mirror has to stand on tip-toe to look at the next shelf up, and he doesn't seem too pleased about it.

"It was just a warning," Santana says, casual as hell. She's now going through some very Queenly dresses. If she cared less about her bling, she'd seriously consider smuggling some of them out. "Need a ladder?"

Tick tock tick tock. It seems like they've been in there for hours now. There's only a few drawers left now, and Santana's close to just ripping things off the walls in frustration.

"Hell no."

He turns and glares at her for that remark, because he's pretty sure he'd rather die than go get a ladder. But whatever - shelves are a stupid place to put a bracelet anyway. He reaches his hand up and brushes along the top shelf, but feels nothing very bracelet-y.

"...Any luck over there?" He's kind of afraid to ask - he'll be dead if she doesn't leave with her bracelet in tow.

"No." Have you ever heard the pits of Hell open up and the Devil himself growls out of it as if warning for the end of the world as you know it?

Yeah, Santana sounded kind of like that just now.

"There's one drawer left, twinkie. If it's not in there, you'd best be running."

Kurt's Mirror doesn't dare tell her off for calling him a twinkie. He just nods nervously, and hopes that bracelet is in the drawer, because if it's not he's going to die. Santana is going to kill him with her bare hands for getting her hopes up.

He stares at the drawer at first. But then he can't take it, so he shuts his eyes. He can't watch. Is it there? Please be there. Please.
