In defense of his teammate, Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese once said, "You can hate a man for many reasons. Color is not one of them." Today we need something similar:
You can hate people for many reasons. Their desire to get married is not one of them.
Robinson himself said, "I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me. All I ask is that you respect me as a human being."
Let's be extra clear on this. Californians that vote yes on Proposition 8 are voting to treat some of their fellow CA residents as less than human beings. And that ain't right.
If you're a resident of CA, be sure to get out and vote NO on Proposition 8. If you're a citizen of theses here United States, go do what these folks tell you.
