Highlights from tonight's Peter Mulvey show at the Cafe Carpe:
"If Love is not Enough" with some really fat bass and two microphones. Peter performed his own backing vocals by alternating between mics.
"Abilene" with Antje Duvekot providing backing vocals.
"Everybody Knows" Peter covers Leonard Cohen often enough that I've heard his version of "Hallelujah" more than once, but he doesn't pull "Everybody Knows" out very often.
"Kids in the Square"
"Dynamite Bill" complete with the introduction story he tells about the email from his father. If you've heard it you'll know what I'm talking about.
"Goodnight, Irene" for the encore.
