I had to do a two day Meyers-Briggs based training class for work a couple years back. I did learn some things from the class, although I'm not sure that they were the things my manager had intended. One of the things that I learned is that the way people who are really into personality testing talk about the results tends to really, really piss me off.
Now that this little fact has had sufficient time to churn around in my brain, the analysis engine has produced this explanation: the phrasing used to talk about personality types is too certain and insufficiently aware of the test's imprecision. One could say that, taken altogether, INTJs generally will react to a given situation in a given manner. However, extending that down to one specific INTJ...well, people are neither as rational nor as consistent as some folks would like to think.
In any event, the first time I ran through this little test, I came out as The Humanitarian. The description doesn't sound anything at all how I think of myself, so try again and get....
