He gave the older man a look, bending down to arrange the plastic trays. "Has to, or you really want to spoil her?"

"Yeah, you would," Michael laughed softly, grabbing one of the cans and pouring it carefully into pan and picking up a paint roller. "I'll say she's lucky."

"You think so?" He picked up a paint roller, as well. As excited as he was for the baby, he was also nervous. Afraid he was going to screw things up.

"I do," he shook his head at Oliver's insecurities, putting the roller in the paint and going to the nearest wall. "You shouldn't be this worried."

He drew in a breath and let it out slowly, rolling some of the paint onto the wall. "I can't help it," he admitted.
