Going between dimensions wasn't an easy thing, and in all honesty, Michael thought he was lucky he'd found a way to actually do something like that. And now that it was Mother's Day, he knew he couldn't hang around the Watchtower without seeing his mom. He knew she might be pissed at leaving for such a long period of time without many words on the issue, but he had to go back, if only for a day.
So, gathering the things he would need to do such a ritual, he was back at the front door of his own home in California, breathing heavily. Pulling off something like that wasn't the easiest thing on the planet. So it took him a moment to catch his breath before he searched for the spare key to the house and unlocked the door, sticking his head in first slowly. When he didn't find anyone around, he stepped in the rest of the way. "Mom?"
