Michael had to hand it to Buffy on planning everything. Having her help get this entire trip together was really easy and that was something he would be forever thankful for. They'd been able to find a villa right on the beach and the best part was that it was hidden from prying eyes but still close enough to the city that they could do all the tourist things Claire wanted. More than anything, Michael wanted to get this trip right. He wanted to leave all the worries at home where they belonged. These two weeks were going to be a fresh start for the both of them.
With clothes packed snugly in their suitcases, Michael asked Buffy if she could drive them to the airport so they didn't have to leave a car in the parking lot for an entire two weeks. When she agreed, he loaded everything into the back quickly, then all but carried Claire to the car. Not that he was excited or anything like to get out.
And because Buffy and Michael were awesome at gathering resources, they'd somehow managed to get a couple of first class tickets for the long plane ride there. This vacation would be as comfortable as possible from start to end. And Claire deserved first class everything. When the captain called over the intercom that they were descending into Honolulu, he glanced over at Claire with a smile. "We're almost there."
