so i watched this show or performance by Dashboard on MTVHD. It was very good and also very cool. I mean the fact that HD TV is amazing is another story. But this whole thing made me think. I use to be upset that Dashbpard left it's style and that chris went to electric and he brought in new elements and he finally grew a large pop fan base. Then I started to think "isn't it selfish to keep a band to yourself?" I havde no right to get upset only happy. Th only thing I can get upset aout is the increase in ticket prices.
Then as the show went on and I heard mor eof my favorite songs from high school where I'd be listening tot hem in my room on a Friday nightalone because no one would call me (this was early on). I kind of got upset. Then As the new songs came on that I didn't know I understood that Chris did not sell out he only went on with his life and became a much more devoted muscian and he has grown musically with harmonies melodies and just everything. It made me kind of hapy in a way. I mena yes he left his acoustic guitar and traded it in for an electic bnut I mean he was in a band that was not all acoustic. I have grown to like him for what he is now and he can be as popular as he would like and I son't be that kid who thinks "he's gay now everybodty likes him." or that kid that calls or labels anything emo. Because in fact all "emo" music has passed there are no more emo bands only bands that play music with lyrics that girls and guys can relate too there are no more Sunny Day Realeastates.
that's my thoughts for now.
