Question for my artist friends...

For those of you who sell your artwork, what avenues have you found that are successful for promotion and sales?

I know I can go the route of conventions, festivals, craft shows and whatnot... but what other marketing ideas have you used that worked?  What types of venues have you sold art at?

I used to try and sell it, now i don't. I've done 20 shows, sold a few pieces but not enough to justify doing shows to sell. I don't mind paying 1-20 bucks but I won't pay 150 for a booth to sell stuff.
