A very special day
So, today is a very special occasion, although most of you may not realize it. What occasion is that, you say? Well, I’ll tell you.
Today marks the first anniversary of Mirror Image.
Yep, last year on May 22, I put up the board, and we started the story. Now, some of you may think the anniversary’s tomorrow, when I put up the first post, but nope. Today’s the day, when we started to put up information on the story.
Looking back a year ago, I can’t believe how much this story has actually become a story. Some of you may not want to see it that way, but seriously, it has. When I first thought of the idea, it was nothing like it is today, and I’m glad of it. Hell, when I first converted it into RP format, it was nothing like it is today. O.o It went from a loose idea of a bunch of young people popping up in this weird alternate dimension to try to save it to a story with a definite plot and character.
That happens to be the reason why I’m hoping this year will be better than last. Last year, I hadn’t realized how much your input was helping the story along, making it more, well, story-like. Last year, I was trying to keep true to my vision. When I realized that, hey, it’s a collaboration, idiot, that’s when I seriously suggested we re-start it. And I’m betting better things will happen.
It’s still my vision, because I highly doubt that you all see what I see for the story, and that you all have your different views of it. Its just that mine happens to be the clearest, but I still can’t see that well, and your views help me see the big picture. Helps everyone see. Does that make sense?
I really wish I could do something special for you all, but I honestly can’t think of anything that could show my thanks enough in making this story so much better. Really, I thought, and…nothing. Nothing I don’t do anyway. If any of you can think of something, let me know.
In the mean time, to celebrate, I put the website back up, and now it’s prettiful. I reformatted the profiles so they make sense, and added Leilani’s and Olina’s, because I had finished them, and wanted to put them somewhere. There’s also a ton of new pictures, a lot which no one’s sense before. ^^; Also, check out the disclaimer page. See, I told you this was mine. >.< I was like good God when I was added things in there. I think I own like half the things for the story. Yesh.
I also uploaded a picture to Deviantart, but it’s nothing special. I wanted it to be, but it’s not. ^^;
Here’s to another year, and hopefully we’ll get somewhere. :P
P.S. I’m never buying Gold community again. Every time, every time, the stupid RP dies on me when I buy it. Luckily, this time it was revived, but I’m holding to my conviction this time, and you’ll have to suffer when ads unless someone else wants to contribute to it. Although, I highly doubt this, as ezBoard ate
