Birthday Happy
No I'm not being dyslexic, I am having an actually HAPPY birthday.
I really thought that 27 was going to be dull and un-exciting. But, actually, it hasnt been that at all.
First of all, people have been wishing me love and happiness since last friday. It started with Jake calling me on his way home on Friday to wish me happy birthday because he wasnt going ot get a chance to the rest of the weekend, then there was Saturday when my little sister came up to faire and she and I exchanged happy birthdays. Sunday came around with my celebration of my birthday - which was really great. I got to run around and see shows, spend time with Shawn (which is always fun and a birthday tradition, I dont think it would be the same without him!) I got to see Amy and Matt who I never see anymore. Lil Nikki and Andy came up to visit and Daddy and Tina came up for a while. Got tina into her garb - she looked good. I was really proud. My friends up at faire made the day just as awesome as my friends not at faire. Tina got the Terrors to dedicate a song to me and Michele turned wine tasting into shots again (which is just plain too much fun) I got sung to by a number of friends, and roses too! Roses from Sterling, rose from the rose boy who plays tag with us all, rose from shawn and two roses from my little brother Ariano that he sent up with me through a friend since he couldnt be there. I made it to the pirate smoker, which was an awesome show. I had a bad nicotine head ache - a nasty one - that lasted until yesterday, but it was fun. Shawn and I have decided that we need to start celebrating my birthday on Saturdays and not SUndays because we were both hurting the next day at work.
So Nikki, next year, the Saturday before my birthday, I need to not be working! *someone else will have to manage the booth that day!*
Now, i was feeling sick on Monday, but I lived and then I got called into the hospital to visit my grandma. She broke her hip a month ago, so she thought it would be a good idea to STAND and iron for 2 hours. (shaking head) she is ok though, just aggrevated the injury. But I got to see Grandma and Grandpa for birthday kinda. Then yesterday I went up to faire for the Rescu rally... got some more happy birthdays and donated some money. Won an auction. Put down about 3x as much money as it was worth - but its for rescu. Its worth it to me.
TODAY rocked pretty good.
I had a secret sister at school - and this year she remembered my birthday. She bought me a cute little painted plate, a big bunch of sunflowers and made me a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing - MY FAVORITE. so thats not on my diet, but thats ok, I ate some anyways! I gave most of it away to other teachers so i had visitors all day wishing me happy birthday. Then my first period kids (who are really good kids) brought me a little 6inch cake for my birthday. And all the rest of the kids all day wished me a happy birthday.
After school I turned on my cell phone and had a bunch of happy birthday messages - which made me smile.
I stopped over at mom's for birthday hugs and got a birthday "cake" that wasnt cake. But I made a wish (any guesses?) and then got some funny cards from my step father. And I got a book, a Capitol Steps CD and best of all... PLANET EARTH ON DVD!!!
whoot!
Then I came home, made some dinner, and started cleaning my rat trap house.
If you are one of the masses staying at my place, its CLEAN now. I mean, its been clean, but I bleached the bathroom and lysoled the kitchen. So, its sterile now.
REMEMBER -
minor chemical burns are just like an exfoliating treatment, I just dont charge you a hundred dollars for it. ;)
