[headcanon] for older!Aren

Well I figure that Aren and Yuu probably grew up attempting to be just the same as normal children--but probably failing. They actually might have forgotten to 'grow up' until someone pointed out to them that they hadn't changed size at all for like.. a year. And then magically they have a growth spurt the next day. FAIL.

They probably grew up faster than a normal child would so they could help their parents on the battle field with Akuma. Although that doesn't mean they actually do any of their fighting alone, I'm sure the Order wants to keep an eye on the twins considering they're walking, talking Innocence. Their first meeting with a Noah in battle was probably rather bad and dangerous, and Kanda and Allen might not have let either of the twins out of their sight for quite a few days in case the Noah came back to harm them.

I imagine Yuu taking on a lot of the responsibility of the twins and making sure they got things done, like Aren remained derpy and goofy a lot of the time, trying to keep his more serious twin laughing and smiling. However, he's protective over his sister and his family, and while he tries to keep them out of harm's way, he probably puts himself into it more than not to save the others.

I'm sure the scariest moment(s?) for either Kanda or Allen would be seeing one or both of those little mirrors being toted back, with cracks in it. I imagine them sitting nervously outside Komui's labs for him to finish fixing the Innocence, and then being angry when the kids greeted them like nothing had happened at all.
