Been thinking the last few days about some old charcters of mine.
Like Mr. Manly Man (Yes that was his name) from City of Heroes, what I played before Warcraft.
He was just a joke character who I ended up playing because he was fun and suprizingly tough.
For those that played he was a Science-based Fire/Super Strength Tanker.
He had mirrored aviators, a kaiser and his fedora, built like a tank, but not super-muscles-on-his-muscles...
And he was Manly...
Literally.
Stanley Manly was the prosperous owner of a local gym called the Manly Manor, who devoted great amounts of time to helping others. Blessed with a large physique and indominable will, as well as a large family fortune, he donated time and money into improving the youth of Paragon City. But not everyone was happy with Mr. Manly. Willies McWobbly a rival gym owner hated him, desperately trying to bring him down McWobbly allied himself with the local gangs and somehow managed to get them to plant a nuclear device in the Manly Manor and steal the Manly Family Jewels kept in a safe at he gym. Stanley found the device just before it went off, and through a bizarre mix of physical strength and willpower he contained to bombs blast within his Manly arms. And thus with his superpowers realised Stanley Manly joined the many other heroes of Paragon City in thier efforts to stamp out crime and recover the Manly Family Jewels...
I'm skipping some of his background there, ah well.
Personality wise he was... Major Armstong sums him up better than any other method of profiling I know. Right down to his voice, and that was before I had watched FMA, scary no?
Aside from that he was a blast to play with and his "Manly Family Jewels" comments still crack me up.
So a challenge of sorts to those who read this, tell a story about a character who you've enjoyed playing, post it in your journal and spread the challenge to all who be reading you!
I'm far more tired that when I first started typing this, but then again 2+ hours have passed since then as well...
The only other real huge news of sorts is that I picked up the Firefly Box set from Wally's World for about $20 yesterday. That's about it.
