1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Went to Japan to live and study there.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really make new years' resolutions. I strive to improve and challenge myself anyways.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.

5. What countries did you visit?
Only went back and forth between Japan and Sweden. Also maybe Finland if you count changing flights in Helsinki. :)

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A boyfriend.

7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I'm really bad with dates... but there are some special events that will etch an especially big mark in my memory.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Actually going to Japan and studying there as it has been a big dream of mine since I as about 13 or so. Also designed and got that tattoo done that I had planned for a few years.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not working more on my art and personal projects as I had set my mind on.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Got a pretty nasty flu just a few weeks after coming to Japan, with fever for about a week, and then bad coughing for another three weeks. No injuries except bruises which I always collect alot of anyways.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A kanji dictionary program for my NDS where I can write in kanji that it finds for me with meaning in English.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Can't pick anyone special. Most people have been extremely nice to me.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
This guy who showed me his weener one morning when I was going home, and then followed me for a while asking me things that I didn't answer to.

14. Where did most of your money go?
School fees and plane tickets. :(

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Just about everything? :D

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Meeting people, drawing.

Worrying about money.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
Together with my family - eating good food and having a great time.

21. How will you be spending New Years?
With my family and another family. We celebrate New Years together every year; every other year at their place, every other at our.

22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Kinda, maybe, not...

23. How many one-night stands?
Zero.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Don't have a TV... but I watch some shows on the computer. I think True Blood was pretty much a favourite.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Err... don't think so?

26. What was the best book you read?
Haven't been reading that much not having a library close and all. But I bought Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy and re-read it. It's still as good as it was when I read them the first time - around 2000.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Don't know really. I tend to find new, good, stuff pretty regularly.

28. What did you want and get?
An iPod! I got it for Christmas present.

29. What did you want and not get?
A Wii. I was going to buy one myself, but with the economy currently going down the slope... But whatever, I don't even have my own TV.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Wall-E. It was so lovely and made me fill up with happy feelings. Best animation I have seen in a long time.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 22 and I went bowling with a couple of friends.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Meeting a nice and good-looking Japanese guy who liked me and actually dared hanging out with me.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
"You could always do with more skirts." Currently feeling more and more at ease with showing mmy curves and skin. That would have been a horrifying experience to me when I was, say, 16-18.

34. What kept you sane?
Hanging out with my friends. Being able to ask someone to go out for dinner at 23:00 and them saying yes. :) And everyone I live close to in Japan is in the same seat as me so I can always complain and have someone who understands me.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
No idea.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The Olympics and the U.S. Election.

37. Who did you miss?
My friends and family in Sweden.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I can just pick one? I love all my new friends I made in Japan. But I have felt extra close to Viktoria and Bella ♥

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
"If anything is going to happen you have to do it yourself."
