I guess you could say that I
feel a little obligated to update this thing but I'm not too happy
about it. I'm now afraid to write anything I really am up to because of
a certain circumstance that occured just recently. Lets just say
this....I hate when people judge you by pictures and assume that things
are happening to me at college when they really arent! Long story but
it just comes down to this, for those of you who feel the need to fill
your parents in on your friends (i.e..ME!) college life, dont tell them
things that you know arent 100% true. I'm sick of it and feel that I'm
in the Southfield Christian/HPBC gossip again. PLEASE...lets mature out
of this ok??
On a lighter note:) Things are going great here at GVSU. I absolutely
love my friends and am having such an awesome time with them. I have
become super close with Rachel and Andrea and am so excited to be
rooming with them next year at CopperBeech!! Thanksgiving was actually
alot better than I was expecting it to be. This was the first year that
we didnt go to Philidelphia and spend time with our extended family.
Our family just stayed at home and we went over to my sister's fiance's
house for Thanksgiving. It was great and we had sooo much fun. Our
families get along great together and it was really nice not having to
drive 12 hours to and from Phili! My parents are amazing...I am so
grateful for them. My mom especially, this week was great for us and we
spent alot of time talking about things that are really hard for me to
talk about. Basically its this...she is helping me realize that I have
a ton of inner pain and hurt that I havent dealt with. I have extreme
anger towards someone and it has prevailed itself in different ways
which has consequently hidden the basis from the fact that I am angry.
Whoa...I'm not sure that sentence made total sense. I have so much
anger towards a certain person and I have always told myself that I am
over it and that I feel fine about the way she treated me but I am
realizing that I am not settled with it. My mom and I talked for about
4 hours one night about it and we went through each stage of my life
and we reflected on this pain that I endured. Yeah, it was really hard
and by the end, I had no more tears and my face was a giant puff ball.
But it felt good to experience the pain I never let myself feel. I
wouldnt say that I am therefore healed from it, but I am learning that
it is a step process as most things are. Oh well, Thank God for friends
and family....make sure you guys remember to thank those people in your
life who you are most grateful for because we never know when our last
day will be. Take advantage of today and write a little note to someone
saying thanks for your relationship with them, I promise you will feel
better:)
P.S. You people need to comment on my board cause I'm not gettin much
feedback, thanks ya'll and goodnight!
