Well, that's what I get for deciding to spend New Year's with my parents; I miss a perfectly good shoot-out.
My tongue-in-cheek comment is little more than tongue-in-cheek, I assure you. I haven't been keeping up with the reports, since the glaring headlines and bloodthirsty local reporters have been giving me enough blurbs and sound bytes to last me a lifetime. But yeah... here's hoping that everyone's okay, including the guy that was shot.

In other news, school's going to be starting up again in about two weeks. The day after MLK Day, whenever that is. Keep forgetting. I have some RA funds left over from last semester, so I was thinking about putting together some kind of welcome-back party... open to those who may or may not be coming back or even part of the campus at all, of course. Anyone have any suggestions?
