Sociophobia Strikes Back
How can it be so bloody difficult to write one single email to a Professor. I just need to say "The book is not where it's supposed to be. I'd like to take you up on your offer to borrow your copy. Maybe Dr. XY can take it along to the course on Monday, otherwise I could pick it up on Monday or Tuesday."
Sounds ok... but in German it's more difficult.
Annoying detail: the other book I'd been searching for turned up today. But I didn't need it after all.
