I'm baaaack.

Well, decided I'd post an entry about the eye surgery, for no other reason than to remember it LOL. My memory sucks, really. *eyeroll* Any way, things went well. My appointment was supposed to be at 2PM, but they said to call at 1:45PM to make sure the doctor was on time. My mom got to our house at around 1:30PM to take me to the appt. (no driving after and hubby couldn't get time off :P) I called and they said I could get there at 3PM! CRAP! So mom just asked me to go out to her car and get her book so she could read for the hour and a half.
We finally got to the office at 3PM and waited until 4PM before I was finally taken to a room. *eyeroll again* The doc had every diploma imaginable on her wall, including her high school diploma. I shit you not. I burst out laughing when I saw that. Anyway, she was very nice. Pulled down my eyelid and said, "EWWWWWW gross!" LOL!! Everything went fine, the only thing that bothered be was the gut wrenching pain when she did the shot of Novocaine. Oh. My. God! Move over kidney stone, this was worse. I was actually pulling myself up off the seat as she injected it. My eyelid swelled so much I could see it. *gulp* I let out a string of Italian, only because my mom was standing there, (she never saw this kind of surgery before and was interested to see how it was done *groan*). If she wasn't there, trust me, it would have been all in English and all in four letter bursts. Funny how still at the age of 44 it's hard to let loose with cursing in front of her. :P When was all done, I won't go into detail :P, she put a pressure dressing over my eye and sent me packing with an antibiotic RX. The next day I was to take the dressing off and get in the shower and slowly open my eye under the water. UGH! Pain. It took a while, but things finally came into focus. She said I'd probably have a big bruise where the injection was (no shit!) but that actually never happened. I was stunned by that. *snort* Now all I have to do is use the antibiotic ointment each night before bed, for one week and that's it.

*looks up* Whoa, got a bit wordy there. :P Any way, it's nice to be online and I'm glad it didn't take more than a day. I've become quite dependent on reading LJ and OL. *sigh*
