The Influence of Manga on Japanese Culture.

I just finished my final paper for my Japanese Culture course.  It was actually an interesting class.  Even though Japan has been a relatively isolated country there have been subtle foreign influences for centuries.  My paper was on manga and it's influence on modern culture.  The term has actually existed since the 17th century and even though it's considered uniquely Japanese the first manga magazine was British taken from existing Japanese artwork.

Kind of an interesting topic actually.  Manga has had a huge influence on comics and artists worldwide.  My paper however was a pain to write, it's very hard to find references.
