Gee, it's been a while since I gave a good life-update, hasn't it? So, I will now subject you all to my Spring Break, with all the joy, boredom and weirdness that accompanied it!
Well, Friday was typical weirdness. Love Library closed early for Spring Break so, once again, there was much wackiness as the anime club was displaced to Kauffman's Great Hall, but we had a pretty good White Day Shoujo Night, complete with pretty scary dubs (Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai and Angel Sanctuary). I was pleased because two of the animes I brought (Angel Sanctuary and Princess Tutu) were watched. ^_^V During the break, I also had a chat with
weaverlynn, which contained news that was neither particularly good nor unexpected, but I think it triggered something in me to change, because well...something happened later that night after CJ walked me back to my dorm while he stayed with me for a bit. I don't know for sure what happened to me, but I was trying to let go of myself, and, well, I suddenly started crying and shaking uncontrollably (and startling the hell out of CJ), and he said my energy went really low for a minute and came back pulsing and doing weird stuff (I didn't really realize this, as I was a bit distraught at the time), and something (we have no idea what, even between the two of us) came out and integrated itself into my usual energy. I don't feel any different, really, but something definitely happened that night. Strangeness abounds.
Saturday, I was up at 5:30 a.m. (I went to bed at about midnight, which is odd for me, but true), and spent the morning cleaning and packing before my mom got me and my stuff and took me to work, after a quick stop and the grocery store so I could get breakfast and stuff for my lunch. I worked the midshift, and we were pretty decently busy because of our 5 day St. Patrick's Day sale promotion. I was the only Varker who dared to wear the green plastic derby, though, so I was the leprechaun of the day. Also, Julie, one of the dealers, came in, and she had this darling little yellow satin Chinese-style dress that fits me okay, although it's a bit snug around the hips (but that could be attributed to the fact that I have apparently gained about 5 pounds, go figure. They'll probably come right back off once I get back to my usual school diet of small amounts of carbs, chocolate and cran-pineapple juice and am running around campus to classes again), so I bought it for--get this--$6.50! For that price, even with some snugness, it was worth it. ^_^ That evening, I think I ended up watching TV and showering and being generally lazy.
Sunday, once again, I was working the midshift, and, since we were supposed to be wearing green for the St. Patrick's promotion, I wore an old little suit-thing to work with a neck scarf, and I think I ended up wearing about 14 different shades of green total for that day (no, that day I didn't wear the green plastic derby, simply because it looked odd with my little skirt suit), but I looked cute and spring-like, and got a number of compliments on my appearance from the dealers that day, so it was all good. However, after eight hours in heels, I was ready to change clothes when I got home, so I quickly changed into a sweater, slacks and Docs for when
xanadu_guardian took me out to see "50 First Dates," which was cute. We enjoyed it, and nearly had the entire theatre to ourselves, which was cool. ^_^ I ended up getting home a little after midnight.
Woo, Monday, my scheduled sleep-in day! I ended up getting up around noonish, and Daddy took me out to eat breakfast/lunch/whatever at Village Inn, and I had a French dip, which I always love. ^_^ I didn't do much during the day, but that evening, CJ took me out to Tico's (he'd never been there, gasp!) for dinner and then to see "The Last Samurai," which was also pretty good. ^_^ Then, we were at his place for a bit, and I ended up getting home around quarter to midnight.
I had a hair appointment Tuesday morning at 11, so I ended up leaving the house around 10:15 to deposit some old paychecks in the bank, grab gas (I was quite low. ^_^;;) and hope I didn't get lost trying to find the place, because my stylist changed locations to inside of a retirement community, and I nearly got lost because there are two retirement homes right next to each other, and they aren't well-marked, but I ended up getting there about 15 minutes early, so I got in the chair and on my way earlier than expected. I ended up losing several inches of hair (from a few inches above my waist to about armpit-length), but it's much more even now, and with several fewer split ends, although my hair has wasted no time to breaking as much as possible without me doing anything to it, as usual. Stupid hair. >_< I stayed home that night and got a scratch while playing with my brother's cat, Freja, but it's okay. And, I had a nice, long phone conversation with
beccastareyes, so that was fun.
