Nebraska's a funny place, especially in the winter. About the time January (usually our coldest month) rolls around, we have an interesting little phenomenon that I call "crystal cold" days. In other words, the skies are clear, the sun is shining, it looks wonderfully nice outside--but it's REALLY, REALLY FUCKING COLD. Today is such a day. It looks just plain gorgeous outdoors...but it's about 4 degrees air temp, excluding the windchill. Strange place, Nebraska...
