1) I'm really bad at ranking things, so you probably won't get the best day, but a pretty good day. Right now, the day after I defend my thesis hopefully will be pretty sweet -- not the day of, because I'll be a wreck until I get the 'Congratulations, Dr. H~' and the after-party. But I'm planning on taking at least one day off after that before I have dissertation edits and turning things in.

If I could make it more awesome, I'd fly my friends out to Ithaca and spend that day taking them around and goofing off. Maybe get together a D&D game, especially if I can hijack the 6th floor conference room in the Space Science Building. And hit a few of my favorite restaurants -- maybe Aladdin's for lunch and the Plum Tree for dinner. (Or vice versa, since Aladdin's delivers.)

2. Depends on the kind of end. If we're talking 'end of civilization but pockets of humanity could survive', I'm going to stock up on canned goods and brush up on my survival training, and get into shape. Ragnarok is supposed to be preceeded by years without summer, so it might be good to be prepared for food shortages (and have warm clothing). If it's a rapture or something, I have to decide if that particular god is worth following -- though I have a pretty low opinion of any god that will subject its non-followers to hell for arbitrary reasons. If it's a more secular end of the world, then... well, I don't know. Probably never be sure enough to do anything crazy like spend all my money to move to the Bahamas.

3. Honestly? I toss it in the creek. Any good thing I wouldn't take without asking, and any bad thing I don't want. So, unless you're offering anything...

4. Cry. Freak out. Wish for my mother. What, were you expecting a helpful answer? I freaked out when I was in the emergency room after my car accident waiting for the X-rays that would let them take me out of the neck brace and backboard because my head hurt and since I wasn't actively dying, the staff was attending to people who were until the lab was free. And there I intellectually knew if I started losing consciousness, I'd get plenty of help.

5. Again with the ranking. I do like the custom Riki doll Katie gave me. And the cosplay you did. And the Zack story UO wrote me for her creative writing class. Basically, because those are exciting and different.
