Oh, really, Nebraska?
Oh, now THIS is cute. So, wait, IOWA can grant same-sex marriage, but WE can't even let legal heterosexual immigrants tie the knot? My native state, how she embarrasses me so. *facepalm* Thankfully, I don't think my county is among the guilty ones, but still--it makes us all look bad.
On the plus side, folks, keep an eye on Idaho and New York. They've both got measures in the works to be the next couple states to strike down bans on same-sex marriage. Here's hoping they pass. For that matter, here's hoping California wakes up and realizes that stereotypically-redneck Iowa has outdone them on the liberal-agenda front and strikes down Prop 8. Oh, and for those interested, I did stumble across this site. It amused me, so I bought a shirt there. Feel free to do the same to voice your support. ^_^
...now if only they'd get around to also overturning the ban on plural marriage, but that's a topic for ranting on another day. ^_^
