All I want for Christmas...
Life continues much as usual--I'll do a report on that later. Anyway.
So, I am thinking that if you have paid much attention to previous things I've mentioned, you should know that I include knitting among my hobbies. I am also thinking that I would be happy to make nice little knitted holiday gifts for you, my friends. So, why am I telling you this now? Because I intend to allot about 2 weeks to get each requested knit done, and if a fair number of people make requests in addition to plans I already have for my family... Well, it'll be a big to-do list and I want to make sure I'm going to have time to get everything done for the holidays. So, I figure if I gather all the requests now, I should be able to pull it off. ^_^
So, here is what you'll need to do if you want a nice home-knitted something from me for the holidays:
1) Let me know the sort of thing you'd like me to make (e.g. scarf, hat, bag, whatever). Just due to time and budget constraints, these will all be SMALL projects--that is, no more than about 3 or 4 balls to make, tops. So, no sweaters or anything big like that. But, I have some patterns for scarves and hats, a little bag, even an adorable stuffed bug. So, let me know the kind of item you'd be interested in, and I can give you some descriptions of patterns I have for them and you can choose something more specific from there, if applicable.
2) Let me know your preferences for colors and if you have any fiber preferences/restrictions, e.g. an allergy to wool, etc., so I can choose an appropriate yarn for your gift. When you choose the project you want, I'll let you know what the pattern recommends as well, so we can make sure that it'll all turn out properly.
3) For the vast majority of you, I will, unfortunately, be unable to present your gift in person, so you'll need to let me know the address where I need to send it.
Since some of the above information is potentially sensitive, I'm going to ask you all to *email* your requests to me rather than just putting it all in the comments section. Even if you've already made mention of the information to me before, go ahead and include it again, so I have it all on record in one place. If you don't know my email, it's on my profile. To make it especially easy, here it is for you right here: ardruna@gmail.com. Just send your requests as soon as possible, although I will accept them from now until Thanksgiving, ok? Please, no later, or I can't promise it'll arrive on time.
