In other news...
A week or two ago, I got the living room to the apartment mostly rearranged to where it now feels like a home. I'm finding I'm liking warm tones. Also, decorating an apartment is tricky. Even trickier is organizing an apartment.
A few days ago, I went to Wal-Mart, and among other things, got a multi-cooker that is also a deep fryer. Last night, we tried it out. We were really impressed. Tostadas were easier and tastier than pan-frying, tater tots were tastier than baking... the egg rolls I think were a little overdone, but next time we'll play with the temperature. We're talking about making tempura next.
The best part? The multi-cooker/deep-fryer was only $25. Kitchen appliance of WIN!
