No 1: The larch

Number of days till Christmas eve: 6
Number of presents purchased: 0

(Umm... oops.)

Number of universities I've applied to: 6
Number of universities I've received an answer from: 3
Number of universities that have rejected me: 1
Number of universities that have accepted me: 2

I've been accepted by Bolton and Glasgow. Can you say "squeee"? The offer from Bolton was only conditional, but the condition is to pass my current course of study, so it shouldn't be too hard.
One way or another, I am certainly going to the UK next autumn, even if I'm not good enough for Cambridge. My final decision as to where I'll go will be made as soon as I know something from Cambridge, Edinburgh and Leeds.

Here are my grades for this term, but I can't help finding them highly insignificant right now:

Danish: 8
Disney English: 9
English literature: 9
Icelandic: 7 (would've gotten a better grade if I had studied more for the final exam)
P.E.: 10 (guess there's a first time for everything :P)
Life skills: Passed
History: 8
Psychology: 8
Attendance: 9
Spanish: Dropped

...and no 3: The larch

grades, monty python, cambridge, applications, christmas, bolton, england, leeds, exams, university, glasgow, edinburgh
