Dreams

I didn't sleep well last night. I've gotten so used to going to bed at 3am that when I try to go to sleep a few hours earlier, I end up tossing and turning for hours. When I finally did manage to fall asleep, I woke up a few times. That way I could at least remember some of my dreams. I remember three well, but I'm pretty sure I had more.

The first one was really silly. I was at a beach, and there I met Eric Idle. He was very nice to me, and allowed me to hang out with him. Then we went to some building with lots of doors - could have been an airport or something, I dunno. Anyways, sometimes people stopped us to say: "Hey, aren't you that guy from Monty Python? Is that your daughter?"
"No, she's just some girl I met at the beach."
"I'm just following him around, really..."
At some point we bumped into Michael Palin.

In the second dream I was on a Joyclub meeting at María's house (only it didn't look like her house at all, but I didn't notice). While everybody else was watching TV, María was being very annoyed, because her mother was too busy to help her learn her lines for her movie audition. She was very nervous about that audition, because she desperately needed the money. Naturally I offered to help her learn the lines.
Then my alarm went off, and I woke up. I was going to finish the very interesting book I'd been reading the night before, but I was too tired, so I went to sleep again.

The weirdest thing about the next dream was that it seemed to be a sequel of the dream with María's audition, only that María had turned into Binni's sister Unnur.
So I had accompanied Unnur to her audition to support her. I think there was someone else with us, but I don't remember who it was - probably someone who only existed in the dream. Unnur was so nervous, she was almost hysteric (I've never seen her like that in real life). We had to wait for a while, then Unnur was ushered into a room. The auditions were apparently taking place in more than one room, because a door next to me suddenly opened, and I was asked if I had come for the audition. I thought: "What the heck, I might as well." So I followed the person into the room.
I was asked what part I was auditioning for, and I explained that I had only accompanied my friend. This made the person obviously think that I was stupid, because she tried to explain to me what the movie business is all about. I told her that I had quite some experience in both acting and writing, so there was no need to explain this to me. The person still thought I was stupid, and instead of giving me a few lines to read, she reenacted some scenes from "The Lord of the Rings" to prove the point of whatever she was trying to explain to me.
I thought: "Yes, I've seen that movie. Now get on with it!"
And that's pretty much the point when I woke up.

While the first dream is a very typical one for me, where I make friends with a celebrity, I sort of wonder about the other two, because they're about the same subject, and movie auditions are not something that has been much on my mind lately.
