I actually finished my philosophy essay. Ok, so I cheated. For one thing, the letters and the edges of the page were a teensy bit too large and for another thing, I wrote about my own story, so it was a lot easier to examine it than if I had written about somebody else's work. I didn't mention that I wrote the novel myself, though, because I don't want the teacher to think that I just made it up for the essay. Besides, if I tell him that I'm a writer there's a slight possibility that he might read my books when they come out, just to see what his former student is up to. And that's something I'd really, really, really, REALLY like to avoid.
I wrote that the author's name is Anita Thomas. Which is an outright lie, of course. Anita Thomas was a friend of mine in Germany and she's not very likely to write fantasy novels for children. If she wrote a book, it would probably be a slightly more intelligent one. I sometimes wonder how she put up with me because she was a lot more mature at 10 years of age than I was.
Strangely enough, when Anita and I were about 8, she was incredibly preppy and I was a shy loner. Now she is intelligent and rather quiet and I'm a silly nutcase.

This entry is starting to become strange...
