I'm back in Finland. I'm currently at Jani and Katja's place, because my fifth floor flat is likely to be unbearably hot at the moment. Seriously, what is up with this heat?
Ainuliisa wanted something to celebrate, so Jani went on Wikipedia to see if there's an obscure holiday today. He found out that it's actually Pentecost, which is not obscure at all. So now the two of them are making an Easter chick from a rock.
It was nice to see Alda in London. On Thursday evening she took me to a lesbian pirate wedding, which was a lot of fun. I hadn't intended to get up and dance, but in the end I couldn't resist. I was looking very cute (at least I assume I did; I didn't look into a mirror) in a white shirt, black skirt and purple tights, but don't worry; Alda was a gentleman. We saw a bloke who looked like a young Gísli Marteinn. I also met Alda's former flatmate Dan who looked like a young Páll Óskar. Or maybe I'm just crazy, seeing younger versions of Icelandic celebrities all over the place.
On Friday we went to the Globe. I took the tour, but Alda decided to keep her money. It was very cool, and gave me a better idea what it was like to be an actor in Shakespeare's time. Maybe I'll go see a play there the next time I'm in London. The cheap tickets are only 5 quid. They are standing places, though. Nonetheless, it might be cool to be so close to the stage.
At the souvenir shop I bought a shirt that says "What fools these mortals be". I would have loved a shirt with a quote from Twelfth Night ("I am not that I play" or "Take away the fool", perhaps), but they didn't have any. But Midsummer Night's Dream is very cool too.
Then we went browsing some bookshops. I found a book that I'd been looking for for ages, but managed to resist the temptation to buy more than that. I'm rather proud of that, since I have very little impulse control when it comes to buying books. Yay books!
Oh, and at some point we played Cluedo. It was a new version, in which Professor Plum wasn't a professor but a video game designer, and Reverend Green wasn't a priest but... I dunno. Some guy with connections. It was fun anyway. Alda turned out to be the murderer, but that's hardly a surprise.
Yesterday I had to get up at 4am to catch my flight. Evil. But on the airport I had a big American breakfast, with eggs and bacon and fruit and sausage and pancakes. The server was very cute. I considered writing my phone number on a napkin, but since I'm not the sort of person who does that sort of thing, I drew a picture of a girl fighting a dragon instead.
I think that's all I have to say for now.
