Travelling around the north has been fun. We had lots of adventures and saw interesting things. The highlight of the trip was visiting Dalvík where I lived from ages two to five. I don't approve of how much it has changed during the past 15 years. We went inside my old pre-school, and one of the women working there still remembered me. We got to look at some old photo albums and found pictures of both me and Jared. It was pretty cool.
Haukur started a D&D group for us newbies (as well as some of the veterans). We created characters on Friday and had our first real session yesterday. It was awesome! I'm playing a halfling cleric who's really a bit of a silly bean sometimes. The funniest part was when Lísa's sorceress and I did some ridiculous things to cut in a queue to a fortune teller's tent. I told the person in front of me that her child was drowning, and Lísa dressed up as the fortune teller and told everyone that she was going out for lunch. Yes, they actually believed. The dice liked us. :P
I have no idea how I managed to sprain my knee yesterday. I mean, I didn't do anything! I was just sitting around most of the day. But now it hurts and I'm limping slightly and it looks silly. Bah! Luckily I don't have to walk much in my job.
Job, yes. I had forgotten how scary the first day on a job is, when you're not quite sure what you're doing, but it passed quickly. Things are going well. The exhibition is really nice too, and I encourage everyone to come and take a look.
