Ernir asked me the following:

Your mother is Catholic and your father is a Mormon, right? And you grew up in a country where the norm seems to be atheism or some form of religious apathy. Tell us how you came to accept your current religion.

I liked this post very much. I haven't discussed religion and faith with you in a while now, but I always enjoy it. While on the surface we could be seen as though we are on different sides, or even enemies, (hah!) when it comes down to the heart of the matter we agree, I think. They way you find an answer when you pray, and the way I found your answer to Andrew (or Nina's) question instinctively is two sides of the same thing, I think. I just knew. I've known it for as long as I've really known you, and who knows long that is? ;-)

Besides, the thought of you doing something this significant just because your father -of all people- told you to is hilarious. I can imagine you doing something to shut up your mother about something, but I see your father as a bit of a pacifist.

I may be puzzled at some aspects of your beliefs, but I could never find them offensive (unless you suddenly told me to burn all Jews or something like that).

All in all I rather like your Church... There seem to be strict rules about some things, but most of them seem like pretty healthy anyway, what with the discauragement on coffee, alcohol and cigarettes. Go Mr. Monson!

Lastly, individual thought = awesome. ;-)
