Don't panic.

Don't panic.

He must have come through while I prayed.   Just talk.  Don't move.  Don't panic.  Just talk.   With the knife at her throat, she hoped that she could talk long enough for him to pull back.

It seemed to almost...hum...against her skin.   Something about it, and him, made her want to recoil, her very Beast screaming to get away, run away as fast as you can.

"Who are you?  What is your name?"   His voice made her skin crawl.  No name, for he was as nothing.   So he said and seemed to say.  The things he did say, circuitous and vague, layered meanings each in its own disturbing tone.

"It wants you...wants to taste you...I can't...deny it..."

The knife controls him.

She knew she had to get away from him, and she began to move, but too late.   He grabbed her tightly and plunged the knife into her neck.
