Birdhouse In Your Soul - Info

Hola people! I don't know how many people actually come here to read my LJ but if you do, then yay! I don't write much here but I really think it's time that I did. If you've read my story "Birdhouse In Your Soul" then I hope that this is a 'cool' little entry, to see if I can explain some things about the story. I thought this might be fun and whatnot. Just little bits about it that might have seemed confusing, but these are just my own theories from watching the series.

Characters:

Nathan: I found out about halfway through the story that Freddie's father's name is Leonard [was that his name?]. So I thought for sometime that I should switch it from Nathan to Leonard. I figured that I'd be fine either way but everyone knew him as Nathan so I just ignored it and went on with Nathan. That's not going to change in the future. Also if you hadn't noticed there are pictures on my fanfiction.net profile of him, or how I thought he must have looked back then. I was surprised to find such awesome pictures that kind of resemble Freddie.

Sarah: I don't know why I chose this name but it's become mainstream, I've seen it used other places and it seemed fitting. As a character she's much like her high strung daughter and used to be quite difficult as a teen. It's only right that she'd pass this trait onto Sam.

Melanie: Since the episode of iTwins came out my story has fallen under 'AU', but not terribly too far. There will be no Melanie in this story, since I've already mentioned Sam's birth as well as had many moments where her family history has come into it. So no twin sister can exist while I do this story, as fun s that would have been do write. I might one day write a fic with her in it, just because the two are so different, its just fun.

Mrs. "Marissa" Benson: We all know who she is and how she acts. But I like to think that when something major happens, like a dear friend of hers dying, she'll take yet another turn. She's lost her husband and now someone she loved just as much. In later chapters you'll notice that she doesn't appear as much, there's a reason for that, she's already done her part for the story. She might surface again before I finish the story but I haven't decided yet. She's finally realizing though that Freddie has grown up and she has to let him go. She's learning from past mistakes and holding on too tightly to the one she loves just might chase them way, hence her behavior in my story. She is a bit OOC in my view but that's just how she has to be. I've noticed that Freddie's been a little more forceful in the episodes with her and he has it in him to tell her no at times. So this is also where my thought process led also.

Sam & Freddie: As we all know she can be pretty mean to Freddie, or was. If you've seen most to all of the episodes then you'll notice a slight change in their relationship. It isn't completely obvious but it's there. I just figured that the two would reach a point where they'd be close friends while still arguing at times, but not in a mean-spirited way. We all know that they don't really hate one another anymore, that's been established from since iKiss. Sam isn't going to stop picking on Freddie, but she will grow up a bit. That's where I've headed with this story. Most have said that they are in character and I've only had a few that said 'OOC'. But I suppose that's opened to interpretation. There's a distinct point in which it becomes way too 'OOC'. For this story they've grown up and with that comes some changes to their character, not in the sense that they're completely new people, just mild things. So if you've seen that in this story, terribly sorry but this is how I see them when they're headed to the end of the high school years. The whole idea behind it is from my own bit of experience in this area. I've been in a few situations involving friends and have see the outcome, which inspired this.
I was talking to someone recently and we were discussing the possibility that Jonah and Sam kissed. I now have my theory on that. This person, who I won't name, cause that's rude, stated that he was a trouble maker like Sam and would 'rebel' against the rules, hence he'd be kissing up a storm with Sam. I say nay! The reason I say that is because of the events leading to their breakup. Why would Jonah go and try to kiss Carly? Most boys who aren't 'getting' any from their girlfriends will often seek it outside of their relationship, Jonah attempting to kiss Carly. So therefore Sam must have been holding back on him, she seems like the type not to let someone get 'that close' to her unless she really trusts them. That might also be the reason she shared her first kiss with Freddie, she does consider him a friend but they've gone on like this since the sixth grade and it's just apart of them. That doesn't mean they really hate one another. Sam would trust Freddie enough to let her guard down around him like she did.

Sam & Carly: They have a special friendship which I wish I could have done more of in this. But when push comes to shove they are there and are so 'soul sisters' as I like to call it. It's like soulmates but in 'sister' form. There are moments where Carly doesn't understand where Sam is coming from and that's because most times Sam will keep it to herself unless its something that needs to be discussed. This is just how I see it.

Carly & Freddie: We all know about 'Creddie' and we all have our sides, but that doesn't mean that the two groups can't coexist with one another in this fandom. My own personal views on Creddie is this, Carly doesn't show interest in him other than a friend. I can't see her changing her mind any time soon. She had no interest when he was sort of spazzy and twitchy and professing his undying love for her. It didn't change when he hit puberty and became an attractive young man, that girls noticed. So it has nothing to do with him physically or personality wise. Freddie shouldn't have to change his ways just to get Carly to change her mind. Even if she started to notice the boy, it just wouldn't work out in the end. Can you just see the day that Carly would say 'okay Freddie we can go on a date' and then the boy would turn into a sickening character after that, he'd be so sappy and fawning all over her the entire time, he wouldn't be Freddie, the boy we all know and love. Plus yeah I can't see Carly being all 'lovey dovey' with Freddo. This is just my own opinion, which isn't very well thought out at the moment, I do have other reasons but can't form them right now. I don't want to make the Creddie Shippers mad, in fact I'm glad that we're able to all love the characters so fiercely, let's just remember that it's a show and it won't affect our lives at all, it's entertainment and a good story. Carly needs someone who will challenge her and balance her out. Have you noticed how alike she is to Mrs. Benson? Why would Freddie want to get wrapped up in that again? He needs someone who can push the boundaries and show him a 'whole new world' [sorry for that cliche]. There have been instances where she's been unreasonable and so much like his mother that I have to smack my head and then shake it.

Roger Puckett: I always planned for him to be a positive character in Sam's life. I don't think it's impossible that Sam would in time forgive him for walking out on her. He's a lot like his daughter, except for her temper, usually. He's calmer, but he eats like she does. He also proves to be very reliable when he's needed. Sam knows that he's staying put just for her and that helps her move on. Hopefully if I write an interlude, you'll get to see more of him and possibly Mrs. Benson as well.

I think that's all for now, I'll need to start writing the next chapter soon, hope you enjoyed this little....whatever you call it. Leave a comment, I'd like to hear from ya.
