update?
Figured I should update my current status.
So I checked soulsubs and my last subbed video was way back in September last year. Now the question is the community dead?
With the lack of updates and projects, it's almost as good as dead/inactive. Right now, I'm concentrating in other projects, such as translating anime/manga-related stuff in my dreamwidth (btw, if there's a Gundam Wing/1xR fan here, you'll find related translations there ^_^).
But then again, it doesn't mean that I'm no longer an Arashi fan. I'll be their forever fan as being loyal is in my genes (see how I'm a GW fan for more than 2 decades, lol). I'm still updated with their activities like a dedicated fan should be. However, subbing really takes a lot of time compared to translating texts (in manga/novels). And since I work and travel (a lot), I can only translate during my free time. Thus, subbing became my least priority (like I mentioned before). I can still translate Arashi stuff, but seeing how active the Arashi fandom anyway, I'll be dedicating my 'service' to my other fandoms.
So to those who might be anticipating a subbed video update, I'm sorry that you won't be getting it for now. I'll unlikely close/purge soulsubs for now coz' who knows I might get active in subbing Arashi shows again someday. But unfortunately, I won't be accepting new members in that com until such time comes. Perhaps I'll delete the community once I'm sure that I'll never sub again.
Also my (almost inactive) tumblr will contain updates of my translations as well as fandom posts. Needless to say, it'll contain things not just about Arashi but my other fandoms as well (don't really want to create another tumblr account for my other obsessions). It's up to you if you want to follow/unfollow that and this journal.
That's all I can say for now folks. Subbing had been a good computer exercise and believe it or not, it also helped me once or twice in my real job ^^. For now, I have other means to practice my Japanese.
