...Babylon5 showed the importance of having stable and lasting job in USA, only long after Mira found out how low the percent of actors with stable jobs was.
After filming the pilot episode of B5, she never thought this project would last any longer, but there followed the second, also not expected to be continued. So it was, without a sign of stability and reliability. Such things and feelings were true not only for Mira but for many actors in US so she thinks this is a country with the most complicated conditions for actors.
Science fiction was out of her interests before B5 and she fell there like an uninformed tourist, but filming opened new opportunities and chances, realization that it is a large world of business, a parallel world with sci-fi conventions, fandom - it’s a phenomena and this was a great discovery. Fans were a great support at that moment and it was something she needed very much with her lost way (after frustration in her home country), you never know what you lose and what you find :)
Working at B5 was very much like theater actor working, with learning large monologues and great topics - life, death, moral, loyalty, principles, script was written by M.Straszynski with whom they are still friends. That is positive art...
