reminds me of lit class. "it sucks" isn't an answer. "i find the lack of plot disturbing and infers that the author wasn't doing her job" is a proper answer.

but sometimes, it just sucks...

*pats and offer some oreos*
We also had to be on the lookout for themes, and examples of that.

They do make miniature oreos btw, and the really well made ones look edible alright!

Have you thought about building with balsa wood? It's very easy to cut, just using a craft knife! I need a dremel. I was thinking about miniatures this morning! Argh!

For playscale I'd want things to be sturdier though, but good idea for the small stuff intended for diorama etc! :)

I have a couple of ideas for lighting and stuff for a playscale pseudo-house as well... homework, what's that? ;)

Any particular kind of miniatures that you thought about?

I was thinking about train sets, but I think doll furniture would probably be a lot more fun to make :)

Ohyes, and almost like building the home one always wanted ;)

I got this great idea on how to rework an IKEA Expedit bookshelf, the one with 9 "boxes" into a two-story Barbie sized dollhouse, complete with electrical wiring and all (running alongside wooden bits behind plywood back wall, that the actual wallpaper will be attached on).. and one miniature idea I have is to transform vases into table lamps..

Either by inserting very narrow and already finished lamp into said vase, and perhaps drilling some hole or simply sawing off bottom of vase, make a suiting hole for electric cable, then reattach bottom. But, question is if the miniature ie 1:12 scale lamps will be of suitable size for a Barbie. I ordered some really nice miniature clay flowers from eBay, from this seller: World Wide Want..and those flowers do look a tad too small in a Barbie's hands, and then for a BJD that is a bit better proportioned but about the same height as Barbie, they must look tinsy in the hands of a such. So I'll prolly aim for the small sized flowers ( ... )
