(Jack’s POV)
“You’re late,” I muttered to no one, glancing at my alarm clock.
As if to emphasize my words, it beeped loudly. I sighed and shutted it down, but I couldn’t help myself looking at it every few seconds. I knew it wouldn’t make him come sooner....but still.
It was midnight now and I would have a big match tomorrow. Yeah yeah, I knew I was supposed to be sleeping, yet I hadn’t found any interest to do so. Instead, I sat on my bed, eyes staring at the stars outside the window, heart bouncing with hopes and wishes.
I was waiting for him.
I never knew exactly when he would come - he had no schedule or something like that. There were times when I was sleeping peacefully, then I felt his cold fingers running on my cheek, snapping me out of my dream. Not that I mind, though.
But he would come today. He had promised. And I knew I would not be able to sleep before he came, so I waited for him. And waited. And waited.
And almost had my heart jumped out of my chest when a hooded figure appeared on my bedroom window.
His appearance was so sudden that he could be materialized out of thin air, I wouldn’t be surprised. But I had seen this so many times before, so I just kept on my straight face as he opened my window and made his way into my room. As soon as his feet hit my bedroom floor, he pushed back his hoodie, showing his messy brown hair, his pale feature, and his pair of beautiful brown eyes with green sparkles inside them.
He was Aaron Ramsey. My boyfriend.

(Aaron’s POV)
I ran through the darkness of night, if you could say that London with all the city lights was dark, jumping from one roof to another, trying not to make any sound. Well, it’s not a difficult thing to do, if you asked me. Maybe the fact that I was a vampire helped.
I slowed my pace when I saw the roof of his house. I was almost there. Taking a deep breath, I jumped down his roof and landed gracefully on his window.
My vision was limited due to the black hoodie covering my face, but I could see him from outside the window, sitting alone on his bed. His face remained firm when he saw me, but I could hear joy bubbling inside his heart. I smiled. I knew he would be waiting for me. Opening the window, I jumped inside his room and pushed my hoodie back.
I could see him more clearly now. His brown hair, his round childish face, the cute dimples on his cheeks when a smile touched his lips, and of course the amazing scent of blood surrounding him.
He was Jack Wilshere. My boyfriend.
He didn’t ran to hug me tightly and tell me how he’d missed me. He might be pretty childish at times but he’s wise enough not to do such things. He just smiled sincerely at me and muttered quietly, “Hi, Aaron.”
“Jack,” I smiled back, still maintaining the safe distance between both of us.
He looked straight into my eyes. “Which part do you want tonight?”
I contemplated about it for a while before answering, “A finger would be nice.”
He didn’t answer, instead he raised his right index finger to his mouth, biting it. I quickly looked away. I knew that it was necessary, but I never had the heart to see him hurting himself for me.
“This,” Jack said, raising his finger for me to see it. His teeth had caused a wound on it. It’s just a small wound, but it’s bleeding anyway, and my throat was burnt with thirst immediately.
I took a seat right next to him. My lips parted, and he slipped his finger inside.
The first drop of his blood inside my mouth felt like a glass of iced water on a really hot day. Suddenly, my body was all re-energized and fresh again. Oh, how I loved the taste of human blood - especially his blood. Though I had become a vampire, I didn’t want to kill humans just to satisfy my thirst of blood, so I decided that I would only suck his blood, which I took at least once a month. I didn’t need much, only a few drops from a small wound. It was enough to survive until I could meet him again.
I moved his finger in my mouth, waiting for my second drop of blood.

(Jack’s POV)
I bit the tip of my right index finger. I bit it so hard that my eyes watered, but I didn’t care. I knew, the pain I felt on my finger was nothing compared with Aaron’s thirst. Besides, he only had me to feed him, so I promised myself that I would do my best.
Finally, I succeeded at making a wound, and I raised my finger for Aaron to see. He parted his lips and I slipped my finger inside his mouth. I watched as he began to suck my blood, but he was careful not to touch my wound directly with his tongue. We both knew, even the smallest drop of his saliva contacted with my blood would either kill me or turn me into a vampire.
I could feel his grip getting stronger as my blood trickling down his throat. I smiled, knowing that it was because of my blood. Because he was a vampire, his body was practically dead, so he didn’t need to eat, but without human blood, his thirst would grow stronger and his strength would deteriorate. As I didn’t want him to lose his sense of humanity, I offered him to suck my blood, which he reluctantly agreed. I didn’t mind to make a few cuts on my body so that he could get much more blood, but he refused at once, stating that he wasn’t a sadocist. So, I only made small wounds, which he fed on every month.
After a few minutes, Aaron pulled out my finger gently and smiled. “Thanks, Jack.”
I looked at him. “You’re not going to leave now, are you?”
He didn’t answer.
I leaned closer and cupped his cheeks, ignoring the coldness tickling my skin. “I’ve missed you so much, Aaron. I’ve been waiting for this day like forever. I want you tonight.”
“No....” he whispered, but I couldn’t be stopped.
“Please,” I breathed into his ear, pulling out my best childish face.
I could see his defense failing, and I almost smiled. I knew he could never resist my childish face. I didn’t really like to use it to him, but I had no other choice. He had to stay with me tonight. I shut my eyes as he enclosed the distance between us in a kiss.
It wasn’t the best or most passionate kiss in history, but still, it’s a sweet and tender one, and it reflected how much we loved each other. All my blood streamed to my face, and I wondered whether Aaron smelled it. His cold fingers traced my face, my body, and the butterflies in my stomach responded by fluttering so hard.
“I love you, Aaron....” I moaned into his mouth.
“I love you too, Jack,” he whispered, his cold breath ghosting against my neck.
“Kiss me again?” I pleaded.
“No. I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t want myself to end up almost turning you into a vampire like before....”
“I don’t mind. I want to be a vampire. I want to be with you.”
“Right,” Aaron snorted. “Then, who will feed me?”
“We can go looking for human blood together, and....”
“You'll have a match tomorrow, Jack, won't you? I think it’s time for you to sleep.”
I sighed but obeyed. I let Aaron carried me to my bed, wrapped my blanket around my body, then sang lullabies for me until my eyes were dropped shut and not reopened.

(Aaron’s POV)
I watched as Jack fell asleep. He looked so much like a little angel when he was sleeping like this. I really wanted to stay and hugged him in his sleep, but I had to leave. There would be another month before I could meet him again. Blinking my tearless sobs away, I smiled sadly and placed a kiss on his forehead.
“I promise, I will change you one day, my love. One day.”
