Meanwhile..

Yesterday was a more eventful day than planned. I woke up around 9, and layed around for a while, and eventually taped my weapons. Got ready, and left for the school, got there on time at noon and barely anyone was there. Finished taping my flags, and we were trying to figure out someway of doing runthroughs with the props, which were at Andy's house. When Niki's mom had gotten them and brought them to the school, there was no time for a runthrough nor was there anywhere to practice..so we all lounged in the band room and put on makeup and such. We finally left the school at like 1:15 i think it was..and our car had taken the turnpike, and stopped for food at the service plaza. We were eating, and noticed it was 2..the time we needed to be at Flanagan..lol. Oops. We finished up and were on our way, got off the turnpike and my mom was headed down Hiatus, but to our luck it didn't go through. Rachel calls and she's all upset and yelling and we're like "well we'll be there soon" So we continue making our way to Flanagan, and get on this other street, but there's construction so we have to take a detour, then we make a wrong turn and then we stop to look at a map and finally decide to go all the way back and take the road that they knew would work..so we did, and as if we couldn't make anymore wrong turns then we turned into the wrong parking lot which took us 7 more minutes to get out of lol. Meanwhile Rachel calls again and is still pissed..and we're like hey, we're tryin man! Eventually we get there, and the first news we hear of is that Julie's at the hospital because she got hit in the head with a rifle. So we're like okay, wonderful...Thankfully, since we have like a million people on our staff, they all helped us get through the day. Ralph led us to check-in, and through warm-up. Warm-up was quick, but i liked it that way..it didn't give me a chance to take everything a million times and obviously there was no time for me to freak out about anything. We got into our official warm-up, did two quick runthroughs and went on the floor to perform. Did our show, and i got off the floor feeling sooo happy! For the first time this season, a) i'd had a good show and b) finally had a dropless show. I was so happy i started crying lmao. no joke! (yeah, i'm such a dork!) But anyways, the day from there just got long and tiring. We had to do many guard's floors and there was less and less room for people to sit in the stands. We got 2nd place, again. Our score went down..and we got 5th in Equipment this week...not really sure how that happened but i guess it'll all get explained. Unfortunately there's no video for this week. Which is quite a shame because i would have loved to see it. I guess it just means i'll have to have the same/better performance at Santaluces.
