Stuff happens
So it has been a very long while since I updated this thing, this post was intended to be long but I have just severely bashed my arm on the desk so we'll see how it goes.
Well I haven't really done all that much since I finished my exams, I have read stuff, I have slept etc.
I did go to London a couple of weeks back on a day where the weather truly was 'British': it was a continous cycle of rain and sunshine. Anyway I had a great time. I went to Madame Tussaurds and took many amusing pictures next to countless wax works and had the crap scared out of me in 'The Chamber Live'. Seriously; this involved walking through dark passages with strobe lighting while actors pretending to be mental patients and criminals jumped out at you and stuck their hands in your face. It was supposed to be something about torture and stuff but really was just an excuse to cause palpitations in the visitors. Still it was incredibly fun as I have always wanted to go.
After that we went to the National Gallery which was totally awesome, I spent hours in there. Our country owns some seriously good art and you can see it for free. I was slightly disappionted that the room with Caravaggio was closed off but still. I saw tonnes of stuff I studied in Italy and got to spend ages staring at Monet which is always fun. Most annoying painting viewed was one by Parmigianino where the guy in the foreground had a finger so out of proportion it could easily have been the length of his forearm...conclusion is that mannerists suck.
Other than that I have been choreographing the summer Shakespeare and being astounded at the lack of coordination the majority of the population have between their limbs.
Thursday was my birthday. It was better than last year although I have come to the conclusion that I no longer like my birthday, ever since I have left home it has been a let down because for two years it was always in the middle of exams and for the other two years I have had to celebrate it with people I have known for less than a year. Birthdays are way too self involved for my liking; there is too much obligation involved.
The plane ticket to America has now been bought at great expense. Ryan I will be there in just over a month!
