Christine is going back to school! Instead of talking about it endlessly and staring longingly at the extension cataloges that come to my house every quarter, I'm taking action! I just signed up for two fiction classes that I'm very excited about. One starts Next Tuesday and lasts 6 weeks and the other starts 2 Thursdays after that and lasts through September 11th. I'm super excited to finally be taking part in UCLA Extension's famed Writer's Program:):) Let's see what the instructors can pull out of me. The one seems a little drill sergeanty from her teaching philosophy statement and I kinda like it as I need someone to kick my ass. The other is taught by a husband and wife team who have one distinguished professor awards and are all about nurturing creativity and providing a safe writing environment. I think it will be interesting to have such diverse teaching methods at the same time.
