“And the women also of the angels who went astray shall become sirens”.

I've always taken that to refer to to the Watchers -er- human women. Since many of them took human lovers. I've also been wondering if when YED made refrence to his 'perfict little breeders' or whatever he said about Mary in In the Begining, if that ment she (and posably John) were from a line that orignated with Watcher/human breeding. I've not gotten the chance to read Enoch it's self - just comentary on it.

It seem to me, from my reading of the new testamat and various commentary on it, that Angels have some limited form of free will - after all if they had none they wouldn't have been able to make the choices involved with the Fall. I mean it's not like a) they all fell together or b) all for the same reasons. And some of the Fallen still seem to follow Gods plan, while some of the Angels do not (after all wasn't Uriel involved in stealing a book from Adam and Eve - and it was stolen back adn returned by a Fallen? I really, really need to go find that stroy again)

Now, it does seem that Angels (and there for demons) do not have the er - 'devine spark' given to humans.

Hmm, maybe...I don't have access to any of my sources or notes at the moment, and I haven't looked into sirens for upwards of a year. But I seem to remember...I could be very, very wrong, but aren't there female demons that have been identified as sirens? I'll have to look into that, and will comment back here if I'm mistaken. Which, honestly, could very well be the case.

My opinion regarding angels from NT times forward and their free will or lack thereof are similar to yours. I'm fairly certain that they can practice free will within their "orders" from God. However, I do think that there was a shift after the fall; God took action once the mutiny occurred, and we haven't seen anything like the Fall since. My biggest question at the moment is what His action was. What he did determines how much free will angels are currently allowed to mentally experience and physically practice.

But, hey, thanks for reading and the comment! This is all very new to me, so feedback of all kinds is awesome.

My reserch wasn't really about the sirens or even the Watchers I was reserching Rahab and Metatron for a story that (oddly enough) involved an Angel Posessing someone and a dead person taking over the body of a person in a veggitative state (I have to say that this week I'm glad that I have put the novel on hold)

The only book I have to hand today is Angels A to Z (yeah it realy is called that) I have no idea where I put the stack of Angel stuff I was using for that book... sigh*

As for His action... in the story of Rahab God crushes her (I'm using 'her' becasue the angels of the sea seem to have been refered to as female - I don't know that Rahab had a gender) under his foot for arrogence and violence - He kills her and chucks her into the sea. She seems to have to recovered and (even while Fallen)retreved The Book of Angels from the sea when *non Fallen* Angels stole it from Adam. So she was a FAllen who was serving God (at least at that point). I've been wondering if the Rahab story may be the basis for the Ruby chericter.

I also think that it is interesting that in Pardise Lost Azazel tried to get humans to help him find redemption.

Sorry I get wordy when I'm tired LOL.
