New tutorial (:

Heylo!

I am back with another tutorial and it might not be as good as the last one because...Errr.... Because I really really suck at wallpapers...

Now, this is my second tutorial and do not ask me why I am trying to teach anyone how to make a wallpaper because my wallpapers normally look like a cat coughed up a hairball on them or something. Aaanyway. Let's start with the wallpaper!

I am going to go from this to this (:

  1. Open a picture you like and resize it so that the height is 768px or smaller.
  2. Open a new canvas and fill it with the colour you like. I chose white.
  3. Paste your original picture on the canvas and flatten.
  4. Go to Layer à New Adjustment Layer à Colour Balance and put in these settings: +41, +42, +22. Then click ok.
  5. Next go to Layer à New Adjustment Layer à Selective Colour. Use these settings: Reds: -100, +100, +100, -50. Yellows: +91, -45, -49, +100. Neutrals: +37, -18, -23, -28. Blacks: +100, +100, +100, +100.
  6. Duplicate your layer, desaturate (ctrl+shift+u) and set to Overlay.
  7. Then we are almost done. Only text and brushes left now! J Ok. Star with text. I used LittleLordFontelroy (font can be downloaded on www.dafont.com ) and set the size to 200.
  8. Then finally, make a new layer (ctrl+shift+n) and use a nice brush. Set this layer to Hard Light.

Tadaaaaah! Finished.

Here is the finished result:

- Made in Photoshop CS2 and comments are very very loved (:
