M's practice regimen
M has committed to practicing piano half an hour every day. Usually she has a little extra time after she gets done with her actual piano homework, so sometimes goes back and works on tunes she's played before, or just sits and fiddles around. Sometimes she's actually improvising new tunes, but other times she seems to be making up little exercises for herself.
Right now I can hear her trying to transpose the chord progression for Pachelbel's Canon in D through a bunch of different keys. It's hard, especially since she doesn't really know the theory, but she's really trying to figure it out by ear, and trying to get the majors and minors right.
