No one here gets out alive

Ok, the chemo wasn't THAT bad. I got some beading done and contributed a lot of books to their lounge. Mom loves jigsaws and found a puzzle she could do on her hospital bed table.

I saw a clip for the sitcom with Alyson Hanigan. It looks sucky, color me unsurprised. What is UP with the eyepatch?

Returning to chemo from fandom digression. A major twitch moment came when we reminded the nurse that Mom got extra steroids between bags 3 and 4 of chemo. Direct quote. “Ooooh, thanks for pointing that out. I would have had to really READ THE ORDER to see that.” Wow. Reading the order. What a concept.

We also had to point out that no one had come to take blood for her ca-125. The next morning, her discharge orders weren’t ready when promised and if we hadn’t fussed, who knows when we would have gotten out? Argh. Still, I’m hoping that was the last.

So, all done except for recovering from a night spent in the torture device that hospital staff provide for non-patients to sleep in. If she had to be there longer than one night, I’d have to pack in the air mattress. In order to sleep, I need to thrash around for a while. One of the many, many reasons I’m not a good fanfic heroine :D.
