Onward and upward

My mum gave me a French Press that was kicking around the house ages ago, and it's never occurred to me to use it until tonight (this morning really). Granted, I didn't have any coffee until...... a month ago. Alright, I've had no excuse for the past month. Nevertheless, in a few minutes, I will be able to sip on a nice warm mug of black, organic coffee.

Delicious.

Until now, I've been perking up with Red Bull tonight. A couple nights ago, I popped a Red Bull and it promptly put me to sleep. It's kept me up so far, but I'm not taking any chances. I've still got two papers left to whip up for Russian. Due later today.

This is one of those times I wish I'd kept up with my readings a little better. Then I wouldn't have had to miss Natalie's birthday and Final Fantasy at the Starlight last night. I haven't been to a show in FOREVER!!!

Granted, when I got home from work, I spent a good deal of time organizing my attempts at packing. There is a semblance of structure to it now. Well, there's at least a big stack of packed boxes. Juxtaposed by a larger pile of crap than usual blocking me from my closet. The big packing accomplishment of today was taking down my mail art wall. Without it, my room looks so...... normal and beige. Well, if you ignore the wall of rock (which needs bubble wrap to be packed) and my theatre posters, some of which are vaguely pornographic. One wall is normal and beige at any rate.

I will celebrate my conquering of Russian tonight at the Grad House, with good music and good friends. Friday night I will take a soon-to-be-former-roommate to catch the tail end of a pub crawl to celebrate a couple other birthdays.

Next week will comprise of more packing, more birthdays, and hopefully moving and dancing at the Starlight. Maybe also Phils. There's probably a pre-Germany rehearsal or two in there somewhere.

In the meantime, I write about Russian theatre. And make coffee. And pray that I don't get called into work tomorrow.

friends, the move, theatre, school
