Well, it only took five years, but I just completed a lengthy conversation with a woman who is bothered by our adult section. Okay, I let her say her piece and just smiled apologetically and agreed with her.
Stuff about how if you don't agree with putting pollutants in the air and water, why should you put pollutants in a media format like that.
I'm paraphrasing badly. She actually had several valid and insightful points on the subject.
I don't agree with pornography, it's never been for me and it never will be for me. The objectification and negative sexualization of women (and men) is totally unrealistic and mildly horrific (I've seen some traumatizing things on dvd covers involving clowns). I believe in real, human, sexy interaction.
But it *is* a really high turnover section...
The section *could* be shielded from general view a little better. It's pretty good, but a curtain would help. I definitely caught a small girl accidentally wandering in there the other day. Why her parents weren't watching her is beyond me, I shouldn't have to keep an eye on you kids... but I will keep them away from the porno.
