I'm pretty partial to the Libertines circa 2003 or so, before the drugs took their toll on Pete and the drink made Carl all bloated. But yes, DPT as a band are certainly more attractive than Babyshambles.

I read in Joe Strummer's biography that Mick and Paul had a very clear idea of the look they wanted the band to have, and no one could be a member unless they were skinny ( ... )

Hahahahaha, okay, I am well served for being lazy! For what it's worth now, I knew The Soft Boys, The Who, The Kinks, Big Star, The Clash, The Jam. I should've known Television but I didn't. And I recognized Pete Dougherty but not that other guy.

See, you would have been in the top 3 finishers. Not that it was a contest or anything. But I bet Robyn Hitchcock felt a little pang of sadness the other day, without quite knowing why.
